Case: Long Beach, Ca. – Western Digital My Passport 1TB external USB HDD – Josh L

An internal inspection was performed to verify the condition of internal disks and mechanical parts. Minor scratches were present on the surface of the top disk. One of the read/write heads was bent. Read/Write heads were replaced. After saving the service area of the drive we proceeded to create a map of important data to be recovered. Physical damage present on the disk did not allow for full data recovery, eighty percent of files were successfully recovered. The client came to the office to verify the recovered files and provided a destination drive for the recovered data.
